XRP ETF Inflows Rise as Institutional Demand Builds

  • XRP ETF inflows reached $5.64 million on August 31, led by Canary with $4.71 million in fresh capital.
  • Cumulative inflows reached $1.669 billion, while total assets stood near $1.455 billion across tracked products.
  • Recent inflows increased as XRP weakened, creating a notable divergence between capital demand and underlying price performance.

XRP ETF inflows strengthened on August 31, with fresh capital entering listed products despite recent weakness across the underlying market.

Daily Inflows Show Concentrated Demand

The accompanying chart records current XRP trading near $0.72. XRPC attracted roughly 3.45 million XRP during the latest session. Another XRP product received approximately 650,000 XRP, while others showed minimal activity.

Canary therefore accounted for most of the reported daily inflows. Its contribution represented roughly 84% of the combined $5.64 million. Bitwise supplied the remaining portion from the two active products.

The concentration presents a mixed picture for the latest session. Positive flows indicate fresh capital entered the listed products after redemptions. However, broader participation remains limited across the displayed funds.

Historical Flows Contrast With Price Weakness

The longer chart shows stronger inflows during the market’s earlier periods. Several large green bars appeared while XRP traded at substantially higher levels. Those periods also featured considerably larger individual daily inflow readings.

Flow conditions changed around February as several large red bars emerged. Those outflows coincided with a weakening orange price line across the chart. The pattern showed capital leaving products during an increasingly difficult market phase.

Between spring and early summer, flows became more mixed. Green and red bars appeared more frequently without a consistent directional pattern. Meanwhile, XRP continued drifting toward lower price levels.

Recent activity presents a different pattern from those earlier months. Green inflow bars became more frequent as XRP approached depressed price levels. This created a visible divergence between ETF demand and underlying market performance.

Cumulative Demand Reaches New Scale

The dashboard records approximately $1.669 billion in cumulative historical inflows. Total assets under management reached roughly $1.455 billion across tracked products. XRP ETF assets represented approximately 1.67% of XRP’s overall market capitalization.

Cumulative inflows and current assets measure different aspects of fund activity. Historical inflows track capital entering products across their operating period. Current assets can fluctuate with prices, redemptions, fees, and other fund movements.

The largest displayed product held approximately $507.23 million in net assets. Other funds maintained smaller balances across the market. This distribution shows that exposure remains available through several exchange-traded vehicles.

The latest data therefore extends an established flow trend. Daily inflows remain positive, although participation remains concentrated among fewer products. Continued inflows across multiple issuers would provide clearer evidence of broadening demand.

Goldman Sachs pointed out that a technical breakout in the storage sector, combined with low hedge fund positions, has shifted the "pain trade" direction upward. However, on the same day, the CEO of Kioxia poured cold water on the rally, stating bluntly that NAND "prices have risen enough." Amid this tug-of-war between bulls and bears, Micron's September 30 earnings report will be a key deciding factor.
