In brief

  • Capital B purchased 376 BTC for 25.3 million euros, approximately 29.4 million dollars.
  • This acquisition constitutes its biggest BTC purchase since September 2025.
  • The company now holds 3,521 BTC, acquired for a total of 309.4 million euros.
  • The operation was notably financed by a private placement of 28.7 million euros.

Capital B strengthens its reserves in BTC

The French company Capital B has dedicated 25.3 million euros to the acquisition of 376 BTC. This operation represents its most important purchase since September 2025. At that date, the company had added 551 BTC to its treasury. Last month, it had purchased only 6 BTC.

After this acquisition, Capital B holds 3,521 BTC in total. The company states in its press release that it has dedicated 309.4 million euros to its purchases. The average price reaches 87,878 euros per bitcoin, approximately 102,058 dollars. These figures provide a clear benchmark on the financial effort.

The operation notably relies on raised funds. Capital B cites a private placement of 28.7 million euros to finance its strategy. This fundraising included an additional investment of 7.6 million euros made by Adam Back. His stake now reaches 17.64%.

A strategy focused on bitcoin

Capital B was formerly known as The Blockchain Group. The company adopted this name in July 2025 to focus its strategy on the bitcoin treasury. In June, it had announced it was studying a bitcoin-backed credit product for the European market. The project draws inspiration from STRC and SATA products.

This focus adds a new dimension to its digital reserve. Monday’s acquisition strengthens this strategy, with more BTC. The credit project could also gradually expand the use of this reserve. At this stage, the company remains at the study phase.

Over the past 24 hours, bitcoin has remained almost stable on the market. Its price was around 79,500 dollars on Monday, after about 81,700 dollars on Thursday. The decline from this local peak accompanies Capital B’s announcement. BTC’s value remains central to tracking its reserves.

Capital B now displays 3,521 BTC after its biggest purchase since September 2025. The company is continuing its accumulation strategy, while its credit project remains under study. In the short term, the evolution of bitcoin and its acquisitions will be the main elements to follow.
