Sony Teams Up With Aramco to Develop AI-Supported Industrial Technologies

04:03 AM EDT, 09/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sony's (SONY) semiconductor solutions unit and Aramco have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing industrial AI services across complex operational environments, the companies said Monday. Under the deal, Sony's sensing and AI technologies will be combined with Aramco's extensive industrial data, infrastructure and operational capabilities to co-develop tools that improve situational awareness and response capabilities in industrial setting, they said.
