⑴ German government bonds edged lower, pushing the 10-year bond yield to its highest level since 2011, rising by 1 basis point to 3.40%. ⑵ Some energy facilities in Saudi Arabia halted operations after being attacked, driving oil and natural gas prices higher. Brent crude oil rose 2.3% to $99.25 per barrel, while European natural gas prices increased 2.3% to 75 euros per megawatt hour. ⑶ The yield on UK 10-year government bonds rose by 2 basis points to 5.20%. ⑷ Amazon has appointed banks to arrange its first pound-denominated bond issuance, and the UK Debt Management Office will also issue 30-year government bonds through banks.
