05:13 AM EDT, 09/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon-backed (AMZN) Anthropic is expected to start marketing its initial public offering as early as mid-October and close the listing before the US elections in November, Reuters reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter. Two sources told Reuters that Anthropic had previously been expected to make its IPO prospectus public as early as this week, but the filing is now expected in late September. Anthropic is also aiming to finalize a $15 billion revolving credit facility as part of its IPO process, one of the sources told the newswire, with analysts at banks involved in the financing expected to meet with the company afterward. The IPO details, including the timeline, remain subject to change, Reuters added. Citigroup (C), JPMorgan Chase (JPM), Morgan Stanley (MS) and Goldman Sachs Group (GS) are among the banks working on the IPO, according to the report. Anthropic and the banks did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
