Structure Therapeutics Reports Up to 16.2% Weight Loss in Aleniglipron Trial

01:29 PM EDT, 09/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Structure Therapeutics (GPCR) said Tuesday that a single dose of its ACCG-2671 drug candidate reduced body weight by up to 3.3% in a phase 1/2a trial, while its aleniglipron candidate produced up to 16.2% weight loss at 72 weeks. The company said the 3.3% reduction was observed at day 24 after a single 10 mg dose of ACCG-2671 in healthy participants without obesity. The oral small molecule dual amylin and calcitonin receptor agonist also had a roughly six-day half-life, Structure said, adding that it has started the multiple ascending dose portion of the trial. Topline data are expected in the first half of 2027. Structure also reported 72-week results for aleniglipron, an oral small molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist, in the Access open-label extension trial. Participants receiving the 180 mg dose achieved up to 16.2% body weight loss with no evidence of a plateau. The results support the ongoing phase 3 Accomplish program.
