SolarEdge, Infineon Expand AI Data Center Power Collaboration

08:59 AM EDT, 09/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SolarEdge Technologies (SEDG) and Infineon Technologies have extended their collaboration to develop solid-state circuit breaker technology for high-voltage DC power distribution in AI and hyperscale data centers, the companies said Wednesday. The collaboration aims to enable safe, reliable 800 VDC architectures, with solid-state breakers isolating DC faults within microseconds, far faster than conventional breakers, the companies said. The technology is designed to support higher-density power distribution, improve reliability and reduce energy losses, the companies said. Financial details of the collaboration were not disclosed.
