Top Analyst Says XRP is the Definition of a Pump and Dump. Here’s why
What stands out is the cycle’s consistency. The chart shows sharp pumps, followed by prolonged dumps, repeating across every market phase.
JD’s view on XRP is clear. He calls it the true definition of a pump-and-dump, arguing that “BTC whales use XRP liquidity to grow their bags while the majority gets left holding.”
The Cycle Plays Out the Same Way
The chart shows XRP/BTC pumping aggressively in 2014, 2017, and again in 2018. Each peak gave way to a deep correction. The 2018 peak sits at the 0.00017500-0.00018000 BTC range. From there, the pair fell steadily into 2020, then recovered slightly before dropping again into 2022 and 2024.
That dump ended in 2024 with a massive surge of over 500%. The pattern traces a falling wedge structure, with lower highs and a relatively stable lower boundary. The late 2024 rally put XRP at the top of the falling wedge, and the chart suggests a breakout and a continuation of the pump.
XRP/BTC has followed the same cycle across multiple distinct periods. Compression leads to a pump. The pump attracts buyers and then the pair resets. The descending wedge tightening over more than a decade suggests the next directional move carries significant magnitude in either direction.
Where XRP/BTC Sits Now
The current price sits at approximately 0.00001816 BTC. That places it near the upper boundary of the falling wedge. While it has retreated from its all-time high, it is still testing the upper boundary and preparing for a rally.
JD confirms this, writing that XRP/BTC is showing signs of a breakout. He expects an explosive move if the pair breaks the wedge to the upside.
The Historical Crash
JD’s chart clearly outlines XRP’s trajectory. He expects a swift rise and then a massive crash. He labels this historical crash on the chart, with the projected decline potentially extending into 2029. He has previously predicted a 95% crash after XRP’s next rally, and this chart supports that view.
The analyst pointed out that some would become millionaires while the majority get poorer. This suggests that investors who don’t sell early could quickly lose all their gains if the crash materializes.
