The contract entails two task orders, with the first $96 million task order to upgrade the current GPS ground system to control the GPS IIIF payload, enabling the system to operate the next-generation IIIF satellites, Lockheed Martin said. Additionally, under the second $17.5 million task order, Lockheed Martin will begin a three-phase comprehensive technology refresh of GPS ground hardware and software, according to a statement.
