XRP continues to recover in the cryptocurrency market, currently trading between $1.35 and $1.38 as of September 11. The digital asset’s market capitalization stands at around $85 billion, making it the fifth largest by market cap, according to CoinGecko.

ETF inflows and institutional activity

XRP has posted significant gains over the last month, climbing more than 30% and rising about 7% in the past week. Despite occasional price fluctuations, the recent upward momentum has been largely driven by institutional capital entering the market through spot XRP exchange-traded funds in the United States.

Since early September, U.S. spot XRP ETFs have recorded 11 consecutive days of positive net inflows. Since their launch in November, these funds have attracted a total of $1.68 billion in net inflows, as reported by CoinDesk using data from SoSoValue.

Goldman Sachs has been identified as the leading publicly disclosed institutional holder of XRP-focused funds at the end of the second quarter. These holdings may also serve as components of various hedging strategies employed by the institution.

Legal resolution and regulatory milestones

August 2025 marked the end of the drawn-out legal battle between Ripple Labs, the company developing global payment solutions using blockchain technology, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. With both parties withdrawing their appeals, the previous court ruling stands, and Ripple paid a $125 million penalty.

Ripple Labs concluded its legal conflict with the SEC in August 2025, choosing to withdraw all appeals and finalizing a $125 million penalty, which solidified the court’s earlier decision.

Additionally, Ripple secured comprehensive Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) authorization in Luxembourg in July. This endorsement enables Ripple to offer regulated cryptocurrency services throughout the European Economic Area, aligning its operations with strict regulatory standards.

In August, Jeonbuk Bank in South Korea adopted Ripple Payments infrastructure for cross-border money transfers. This partnership is expected to enhance the bank’s international remittance services with increased speed and efficiency.

Mini dictionary: MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) is a regulatory framework established by the European Union that sets common rules for digital asset issuers and service providers across the European Economic Area, aiming to ensure consumer protection and support industry growth.

Technical outlook and price targets

Technically, support for XRP sits in the $1.30–$1.35 range, while resistance zones form between $1.45 and $1.50. These levels have consistently influenced price movements throughout 2026.

A decisive upward break beyond $1.50 could pave the way toward $1.80, with $2.00 seen as the next notable resistance. Should the $1.30 support fail, the price could retreat to the $1.10–$1.20 area.

Looking toward year-end 2026, expectations for XRP point to a price range of $1.50 to $2.00 if institutional inflows remain steady and market conditions are favorable.

XRP Price Projected Market Cap (approx.)
$5 $315 billion
$10 $630 billion

Sustained momentum from institutional ETF inflows stands out as a key factor shaping XRP’s outlook throughout the remainder of the year.
