ACV Auctions (ACVA) shares jumped nearly 44% in premarket activity Friday after the company agreed to be acquired by Copart (CPRT). Copart will buy ACV Auctions for $10.50 per share in cash, valuing the company at about $1.9 billion, the companies said late Thursday. Copart plans to fund the transaction with cash on hand, and the deal is not subject to a financing condition. The boards of both companies unanimously approved the transaction, which is expected to close by the end of 2026. After closing, ACV Auctions will operate as an independent Copart subsidiary under its existing leadership team. The deal is expected to be neutral on Copart's per-share earnings in the first full year of ownership and accretive in fiscal 2028 and beyond, the companies said.
