According to CNBC, on Tuesday, as the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision approached, U.S. Treasuries faced further sell-offs, with the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rising to its highest level since 2007, up more than 6 basis points during the day, reaching 5.025%. This increase in yields occurred on the eve of the Federal Reserve's two-day monetary policy meeting. Since the August inflation rate remained significantly above the Federal Reserve's 2% target, market expectations for a 25 basis point rate hike by the Fed have further intensified. According to the CME "FedWatch" tool, the market currently expects the probability of a 25 basis point rate hike at this meeting to exceed 92%.
