Brookfield Asset Management, CPP Investments Launch Maple Fund for Canadian Investments

07:56 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) and CPP Investments launched the Maple Fund, a joint framework to pursue up to CA$50 billion ($35.93 billion) in equity investments across Canada's critical infrastructure and strategic industries, the companies said Tuesday. Brookfield and CPP Investments will each provide up to CA$25 billion, with the framework focused on opportunities requiring more than CA$5 billion in equity capital over five years. The Maple Fund is intended to complement the organizations' existing investment activities and may include other investors in individual transactions, the companies said.
