Versamet Royalties to be Added to the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index; Publishes 2026 Asset Handbook

01:50 PM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Versamet Royalties (VMET.TO, VMET) will be added to the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index, the underlying benchmark index for the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF, it said Wednesday. The inclusion, which will be implemented after close of trading on Sept. 18, will become effective on Sept. 21, said the company. The company also published its 2026 Asset Handbook, it added. "Inclusion in the GDXJ is expected to further enhance Versamet's visibility and trading liquidity and broaden our exposure to institutional and retail investors globally," said Versamet Chief Executive Officer Dan O'Flaherty. "The publication of our 2026 Asset Handbook also provides investors with a more detailed view of the quality and embedded growth within our portfolio." The company's shares were last seen down CA$0.34, or 2.5%, to CA$12.84 on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Price: 12.78, Change: -0.40, Percent Change: -3.03

According to the EIA, for the week ending September 11, U.S. commercial crude oil inventories decreased by 640,000 barrels, which was less than the market expectation of 1.4 million barrels. Strategic Petroleum Reserve inventories fell by 403,000 barrels. Gasoline inventories increased by 794,000 barrels, while the market had expected a decrease of 800,000 barrels. Distillate fuel inventories rose by 1.6 million barrels, with the market expecting no change. Imports of Venezuelan crude oil reached nearly 800,000 barrels, the highest level since 2017.
