CoinShares Stockholders Approve Buyback of Up to 25% of Shares

01:52 PM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- CoinShares (CSHR) said Wednesday that its shareholders approved all resolutions put to them at Tuesday's extraordinary general meeting, including authority to buy back up to 25% of its outstanding ordinary shares and adoption of the 2026 equity incentive plan. The authority represents capacity to repurchase up to about 32.9 million ordinary shares and will expire on Sept. 15, 2031. The company said it does not currently expect to fully utilise the repurchase authority. Shareholders also approved the adoption of CoinShares' 2026 equity incentive plan, which is designed to allow the equity pool to be implemented across the company's jurisdictions without increasing the number of shares reserved under the plan, the company added. Shares of CoinShares were up 2.5% in Wednesday trading. Price: 4.92, Change: +0.12, Percent Change: +2.50

According to the EIA, for the week ending September 11, U.S. commercial crude oil inventories decreased by 640,000 barrels, which was less than the market expectation of 1.4 million barrels. Strategic Petroleum Reserve inventories fell by 403,000 barrels. Gasoline inventories increased by 794,000 barrels, while the market had expected a decrease of 800,000 barrels. Distillate fuel inventories rose by 1.6 million barrels, with the market expecting no change. Imports of Venezuelan crude oil reached nearly 800,000 barrels, the highest level since 2017.
