05:02 PM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Leonardo DRS (DRS) said late Wednesday it has signed a contract with Doosan Enerbility to supply the electric propulsion system for South Korea's KDDX destroyer program. The company said its permanent magnet propulsion motors and variable-frequency drives will power the Republic of Korea Navy's first full-electric-drive surface combatant.
