Rhythm Pharmaceuticals Gains Health Canada Approval for Imcivree

The approval expands Imcivree's Canadian use beyond obesity linked to certain genetic conditions, making it the first targeted therapy approved in Canada for acquired hypothalamic obesity. The approval was supported by a phase 3 trial in 142 patients, which met its primary endpoint with an 18.8% placebo-adjusted reduction in body mass index.
