After about one month of launch, the Grok Bot AI agent under SpaceX (SPCX.US) has surpassed 400,000 weekly users.
The AI agent product Grok Bot launched by SpaceXAI has surpassed 400,000 weekly users in about a month since its release, indicating a moderate early demand for the product.
According to reports from Zhihu Finance APP, the AI department of SpaceX (SPCX.US), SpaceXAI, has launched its AI agent product Grok Bot, which surpassed 400,000 weekly users about a month after its launch, indicating a moderately strong early demand for the product. This product is seen as a key step in Elon Musk’s company's realization of its AI ambitions.
According to presentations disclosed at an event in London and attendees present, as of September 14, Grok Bot had reached 418,000 weekly users, up 24% from the previous week. The most recent user numbers of the product are currently unavailable. This agent product is different from SpaceXAI’s flagship chatbot Grok.
SpaceXAI released Grok Bot in mid-August, aiming to catch up with Anthropic PBC and OpenAI in the rapidly growing AI agent market. The design of Grok Bot is more like a full-time employee rather than a chatbot. It can reply to emails, update sales databases, process invoices, organize work, or submit software bugs.
After Meta Platforms (META.US) saw its Muse app top the Apple free app chart, Wall Street this week has turned its attention to the market potential of AI agents. The early popularity of Muse has prompted analysts to compare it to the breakout debut of OpenAI’s ChatGPT at the end of 2022.
Meta's Muse is more consumer-oriented and can be downloaded for free. In contrast, SpaceXAI positions Grok Bot as an enterprise tool, bundling it with various tiers of AI subscription plans, while also offering it as a standalone application. Data shows that Muse has four times as many downloads as Grok Bot.
Over the past three months, SpaceXAI has proactively expanded its presence in the AI sector. After completing the $60 billion acquisition of AI programming startup Cursor, the company has accelerated the release of its models and agent products. In July, the company released Grok 4.5, a model focused on programming, finance, and legal tasks, offering lower usage costs than other competing software. Earlier this week, SpaceXAI launched Grok 4.7, aimed at tackling more challenging tasks over longer durations.
