03:41 AM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Jacobs (J) said Thursday it extended its project management contract for thyssenkrupp Steel's direct reduction plant in Duisburg, Germany. The hydrogen-capable facility is expected to produce about 2.5 million metric tons of direct reduced iron annually to replace coal-powered blast furnaces, the company said. The company will oversee construction, assembly logistics, and civil works as the site moves toward initial iron output, Jacobs said.
