Mondelez International's Canadian Unit Invests in Area One Farms Fund V

10:10 AM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Mondelez International's (MDLZ) Canadian unit, Mondelez Canada, said Thursday it invested in Area One Farms Fund V, a Canadian farmland investment strategy that partners with growth-oriented family farms. Financial details weren't disclosed. The investment, made through the Mondelez Sustainable Futures Impact Investment platform with support from investment firm Sagana, is intended to help Canadian farmers expand operations, strengthen the agricultural supply chain and advance regenerative agriculture practices, Mondelez Canada said. Area One Farms has more than CA800 million ($566 million) in assets under management across over 50 farm partnerships and 200,000 acres, the company said.
