Leonardo wins EUR 1.7 billion DDX destroyer combat-systems contract under Italian Navy deal
Bitget2026/09/24 16:15- Leonardo-led Orizzonte Sistemi Navali signed an EUR 3.7 billion OCCAR contract to develop and build two DDX destroyers for Italy.
- Leonardo’s share totals about EUR 1.7 billion, including about EUR 480 million in options; Fincantieri’s share is about EUR 1.8 billion.
- First ship delivery is scheduled for 2033; the second is due in 2035.
- Leonardo will design and deliver the combat system, including the SADOC 5 C5I architecture and a fully digital S-band AESA radar.
