AEP gets DOE grant of $107.95 million for Ohio transmission upgrades

- Funding backs about USD 216 million of reconductoring projects to lift capacity on existing 345-kV lines, with AEP matching USD 107.95 million.
- AEP also won a separate USD 50 million SPARK award for grid communications and monitoring upgrades across its transmission system.

Bowman also stated that regulators will continue to adjust their examination approaches, implementing differentiated supervision for community banks instead of imposing blanket mandatory requirements.
