CME Federal Reserve Watch: 67.5% Probability of a 25 Basis Points Rate Hike in October

According to CME “FedWatch”: There is a 32.5% probability that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates unchanged at 3.75%-4.00% at the October meeting, and a 67.5% probability of a 25 basis point rate hike. By December, there is a 5.2% probability of keeping rates unchanged at 3.75%-4.00%, a 38.0% probability of a cumulative 25 basis point rate hike, and a 56.8% probability of a cumulative 50 basis point rate hike.
