Procter & Gamble Settles Italian Probe Into Hair Removal Device Ads

03:45 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Procter & Gamble (PG) has resolved an investigation by the Italian Competition Authority into advertising for its Braun Skin i-Expert IPL hair removal device, according to the regulator's statement Friday. The Italian antitrust body closed the probe after accepting commitments from the consumer goods company regarding the marketing campaign for its hair removal device, it said. According to the regulator, Procter & Gamble has removed claims that the product delivers lasting results for two years and also extended its 100-day full purchase-price refund guarantee by six months until Dec. 31. Procter & Gamble did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
