Amazon's (AMZN) Vietnamese satellite division, Amazon Kuiper Vietnam, received a license to run a private satellite-based telecommunications network in the country, Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology said Friday. The network will connect Amazon's satellite system with Vietnamese ground infrastructure to serve testing and quality assurance activities for terminal devices, the ministry said. The license allows Amazon to test equipment manufactured in the country, but it must comply with legal regulations, the ministry said.
