Bristol-Myers Squibb Says Zenbexus Combination Doubles MRD-Negative Complete Response in Multiple Myeloma Trial

11:10 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) said Friday its Zenbexus treatment combination doubled the rate of minimal residual disease-negative complete response versus the daratumumab, bortezomib, and dexamethasone regimen in a phase 3 trial of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. After a median follow-up of 15.7 months, 41.1% of patients receiving Zenbexus with daratumumab and dexamethasone achieved an MRD-negative complete response rate of 41.1% versus 20.7% for those receiving daratumumab, bortezomib and dexamethasone, the company said. The overall response rate was 88.9% for the Zenbexus combination compared with 76.1% for the DVd regimen, Bristol-Myers Squibb said. The trial's other primary endpoint, progression-free survival, remains under evaluation in a confirmatory cohort of 800 patients, the company said. The US Food and Drug Administration granted accelerated approval in August to Zenbexus combined with daratumumab and hyaluronidase-fihj and dexamethasone for the treatment of adults with multiple myeloma who have received at least one prior line of therapy.
