Acadia Pharmaceuticals' Risk-Reward Favorable After Remlifanserin Data, Deutsche Bank Says

12:34 PM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Acadia Pharmaceuticals' (ACAD) favorable risk-reward remains intact despite remlifanserin narrowly missing statistical significance in a phase 2 trial in Alzheimer's disease psychosis, with the commercial base business supporting valuation, Deutsche Bank said in a Friday note. The 60 milligram dose narrowly missed statistical significance, but Deutsche Bank said the data showed a dose response, separation from placebo beginning at Week 2 and widening through Week 6, and a clean safety profile. The bank said remlifanserin has a pimavanserin-like profile that could be attractive commercially, supported by long-dated intellectual property. Deutsche Bank also cited improving commercial prospects for Nuplazid and Daybue. The investment bank reduced its probability of success for remlifanserin in Alzheimer's disease psychosis and Lewy body dementia psychosis.
