XRPL Urges Node Upgrade After Batch Fix Ahead of New Amendment

XRP Ledger developers are urging node operators to upgrade to xrpld 3.4.1, which fixes a minor issue with the Batch feature. The September 25 release also adds stability improvements. However, developers said the issue did not affect the mainnet or cause any loss of user funds.

The update introduces the fixBatchV1_2 amendment, which is entering its activation period alongside the Batch amendment. Both amendments are expected to activate in about two weeks. Developers have not disclosed the issue’s full technical details yet. XRP Ledger Operations plans to publish a technical report after activation.

The Batch feature allows multiple XRP Ledger transactions to be processed together. The current Batch implementation, BatchV1_1, replaced an earlier version after developers found a serious signature-validation flaw.

BatchV1_1 entered its activation period in September. The new fixBatchV1_2 amendment will address the latest issue before both amendments complete their activation process.

The release follows xrpld 3.4.0, which went live on September 17. That update introduced LendingProtocolV1_1 and fixCleanup3_4_0, along with other protocol changes.

LendingProtocolV1_1 expanded vault features and introduced cash-basis accounting. Meanwhile, fixCleanup3_4_0 bundled several protocol corrections.

Japanese Finance Minister: Sanae Takaichi is not a "reflationist" and highly respects the independence of the central bank

The Japanese Finance Minister stated that Ms. Komei herself has repeatedly requested her to clarify this position to overseas investors. This statement attempts to dispel the market’s perception that the Komei government interferes with the central bank or pursues a loose monetary policy. Last Wednesday, two committee members nominated by Komei opposed a Bank of Japan interest rate hike, further reinforcing the market’s view that the Japanese government tends to delay rate increases.
