Chainlink (LINK) experienced a recovery over the past 24 hours, with its price rising 2.31% to $12.59. This rebound pushed the token toward the upper range of its daily trading band between $12.10 and $12.73, reinforcing the importance of the $12 support level for short-term traders.

Buyers hold $12 amid resistance
LINK has found notable buying activity around the $12 threshold, which analysts highlight as a key support area. According to Investor Jordan, $12 remains the crucial level for bullish sentiment in the near term. After declining from the weekly resistance near $13, LINK entered a support region that buyers have controlled for several sessions.
This support has become a focal point for both short-term traders and long-term holders. Technical charts suggest the possibility of another test of this zone before LINK attempts to move toward higher levels in the $14 to $15 area, although this remains a technical scenario rather than a confirmed path.
LINK’s current trading zone reflects ongoing competition between buyers and sellers, with sustained movement above $12 serving as evidence of bullish defense while the $13 resistance remains an upper boundary for now.
If LINK drops below $12, market focus may shift to the next significant support at $10.70, with psychological support also seen near $9.80. A failure to hold present levels could lead to amplified volatility as traders reassess positions.
Volatility and volume define short-term moves
On the previous day, LINK touched $12.10 before swiftly rebounding to $12.73, creating a $0.63 price range within 24 hours. The token’s market capitalization stands at around $9.42 billion, while 24-hour trading volume reached $450.96 million. The circulating supply is approximately 748.10 million LINK.
Despite the latest gains, LINK remains far from its all-time high of $52.70, last recorded in May 2021. At the current price, LINK trades about 76% below its top. Intraday chart action shows several tests around $12.20, followed by a steady advance above $12.50 toward daily highs. Immediate resistance now lies at $12.73, challenging further upward movement in the near term.
Technical indicators reveal mixed signals
On the micro timeframe, LINK trades close to $12.59, having established a lower range between $12.30 and $12.60 after a significant sell-off from the $13 region. Bollinger band analysis reveals upper and lower band signals during the recovery phase, with some traders responding to short-term lows and localized peaks.
The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator remains negative at -0.56, suggesting that while price has rebounded, net capital inflow into LINK continues to lag. This divergence between price and money flow signals weaker underlying support from market participants.
A continued hold above $12 and a break through the $12.73 to $13.00 resistance zone could shift the outlook toward a new short-term high, but failing to sustain above support may invite further downside.
Given the rapid movements seen after macroeconomic decisions or sudden asset listings, traders increasingly seek to streamline market analysis.

The wave of AI Agents and US Treasury yields are splitting the US stock market into two worlds: Meta's release of the Muse model boosted its market value by $220 billion in a single week, propelling the Nasdaq's standout performance; however, excluding AI stocks, the S&P 500 actually fell 1% this week, with the number of new lows on the New York Stock Exchange surpassing new highs for nine consecutive days, signaling the near end of "breadth trading."
