07:36 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Saudi Arabia has resumed exporting oil using its key East-West pipeline after repairing damage from drone strikes that hit it earlier this month, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing a person with direct knowledge of the matter. State-run Saudi Aramco tested the pipeline last week with the goal of resuming meaningful flows by the weekend, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter. The restart restores Saudi Arabia's access to an alternative export route that avoids the Strait of Hormuz, Bloomberg reported. Exports have now resumed, the report said, citing the person familiar with the operation. Saudi Aramco didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
