Fairfax launches NCIB to buy back up to 2,025,315 shares, 950,000 Series K preferred shares
Bitget2026/09/28 11:45- Fairfax Financial plans a normal course issuer bid to repurchase up to 2,025,315 subordinate voting shares from Sept. 30, 2026 to Sept. 29, 2027.
- The program also targets up to 950,000 Cumulative 5-Year Rate Reset Preferred Shares, Series K; preferred shares bought will be cancelled.
- Subordinate voting shares repurchased will be cancelled or held for share-based payment awards; daily TSX limits set at 15,137 shares.
- An automatic share purchase plan starts Sept. 30, 2026 to allow purchases during blackout periods under preset parameters.
- In the prior NCIB, Fairfax bought 1,593,566 subordinate voting shares at a volume-weighted average price of Cdn.$2,280.87; no preferred shares.
