Fermi Selects NAES to Operate Natural Gas Turbines at Project Matador

07:51 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fermi (FRMI) selected NAES to operate and maintain its natural gas turbine fleet at the Project Matador campus in Carson County, Texas, the company said Monday. Under the agreement, NAES will serve as operator, perform operating and maintenance procedures, set up the work management system and prepare the plants for service. Fermi will retain ownership of the assets and control of the facility, it said. NAES will staff and operate the turbines as they come online, oversee maintenance, and manage site safety and environmental compliance, Fermi said. Project Matador will also use the NAES Enterprise Reliability Program, which includes operator training, asset-risk reviews, maintenance planning, control reviews and a live reliability dashboard. Shares of Fermi were down more than 1% in pre-bell activity on Monday.
