AbbVie Says FDA Approves Juvmo Tablets for Parkinson's Disease

09:13 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AbbVie (ABBV) said Monday the US Food and Drug Administration has approved Juvmo tablets to treat adults with Parkinson's disease. The company said it expects to make the drug available to patients in the US in October. Juvmo, or tavapadon, targets D1/D5 receptors to manage motor symptoms across the Parkinson's disease continuum and is taken once daily with or without levodopa therapy, AbbVie said. The approval was supported by phase 3 data from a clinical trial that showed the efficacy and safety of Juvmo in people with early Parkinson's disease who were not taking oral levodopa and as an adjunct to oral levodopa in people with Parkinson's disease experiencing motor fluctuations, the company said.
