Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Mixed Pre-Bell Monday

09:14 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Monday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) up marginally and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) 0.2% lower. PepsiCo (PEP) plans to invest $1 billion in Colombia over the next five years, the country's President Abelardo De La Espriella said. PepsiCo stock was 0.6% lower premarket. InterContinental Hotels (IHG) has signed two hotels in Tokyo under its new Noted Collection brand, the company said. Shares of InterContinental Hotels were down 0.3% pre-bell.
