SpaceX Starship successfully enters orbit for the first time and begins deploying Starlink satellites

SpaceX (SPCX.US) launched its heavy Starship rocket from the Starbase in southern Texas at 7:48 a.m. local time (8:48 p.m. Beijing time), embarking on a mission that could last nearly 10 hours. However, SpaceX later confirmed an engine failure and stated that Starship would not be able to reach orbit. After the announcement of the engine failure, SpaceX-related stocks fell to a low in premarket trading, decreasing by about 2%. This engine failure will prevent the originally planned deployment of 26 upgraded Starlink satellites. Nevertheless, despite the engine failure, SpaceX stated that it might still attempt to get Starship into orbit. Subsequently, Starship successfully entered orbit for the first time and began deploying Starlink satellites. This news caused significant volatility in the stock price during premarket trading, after which it returned to roughly flat levels.
