Urban Infrastructure Group Secures Contract for 144 New Housing Units in Kitchener, Ontario

12:25 PM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Urban Infrastructure Group (UIG.V) will begin work on an additional residential development consisting of 144 new housing units in Kitchener, Ontario, it said Monday. The new contract is part of an ongoing multi-phase master-planned residential community that the company has been "actively supporting", Urban Infrastructure said in a news release. The company will start construction in October and expects to complete it within approximately six months, it added. "We are encouraged to see the improving conditions in Ontario's residential construction market beginning to translate into increased project activity and new contract awards for UIG," said Urban Infrastructure Chief Executive Officer Gary Alves.
