Spot platinum has just broken through the $1,730.00/ounce mark, now quoted at $1,730.40/ounce, down 2.71% on the day; Nymex platinum futures main contract is now quoted at $1,748.2/ounce, down 2.75% on the day; spot gold has just broken through the $4,140.00/ounce mark, now quoted at $4,140.97/ounce, down 3.36% on the day; COMEX gold futures main contract is now quoted at $4,173.50/ounce, down 3.42% on the day.
