Sector Update: Healthcare

01:28 PM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks were higher Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index up 0.6% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) adding 0.3%. The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose 0.5%. In corporate news, Kodiak Sciences (KOD) shares surged past 172%. The company said Monday that its two experimental eye drugs, Zenkuda and tabirafusp-ted, met primary endpoints in a phase 3 trial in people with wet age-related macular degeneration.
