Lilly Reports Foundayo Showed Greater Weight Loss Than Oral Semaglutide in Data Analysis

04:23 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eli Lilly (LLY) said Tuesday a new data analysis showed its drug Foundayo produced greater weight loss and improved blood sugar control compared with oral semaglutide in adults with type 2 diabetes. The findings are based on an indirect comparison of data from two separate studies presented at a medical conference in Italy, the company said. Patients taking a 17.2 mg dose of Foundayo recorded 1.5% more weight loss and a 0.3% larger drop in A1C levels over 52 weeks than those taking a 25 mg dose of oral semaglutide, Lilly said.
