Albany Engineered Composites Awarded Contract to Develop Thermal Protection Systems for Solid Rocket Motors

08:43 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Albany International's (AIN) Albany Engineered Composites segment said Tuesday that its business, AEC Advanced Programs, has been awarded a contract to develop carbon-carbon composite thermal protection systems for hypersonic vehicles and solid rocket motors. The contract, valued at $21.2 million over the 30-month period, has been awarded through US government's Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment program for Strengthening America's Manufacturing and Defense Industrial Base, according to a statement.
