Fair Isaac Shares Fall After FHFA Chief Says VantageScore Moving to FICO Classic Pricing Grid

10:59 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fair Isaac (FICO) shares tumbled more than 26% Tuesday after Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte said late Monday on X that VantageScore will join the existing FICO classic mortgage pricing grid. "We are simplifying mortgage pricing following feedback from lenders and consumers," Pulte said. "Instead of two separate pricing grids, which makes zero sense, Fannie and Freddie are hereby moving to one pricing grid with VantageScore joining the existing FICO classic pricing grid." Vantage Score is operated by VantageScore Solutions, which is a private joint venture owned by Equifax (EFX), Experian and TransUnion (TRU). Equifax and TransUnion shares were down 3.4% and 4.7% respectively in Tuesday trading. Price: 620.00, Change: -220.89, Percent Change: -26.27
