Nu (NU) is in talks to acquire Monzo in a deal that could value the digital lender at between 8 billion pounds ($10.6 billion) and 10 billion pounds, Sky News reported Monday, citing sources. The discussions between the two banks are at a relatively early stage and the broad terms of a deal are under negotiation, according to the report. Another option being explored by Monzo is a new round of funding which is expected to value the bank at more than 8 billion pounds, with the proceeds used for further expansion in mainland Europe, Sky News added.
