03:58 PM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Major digital assets rose Tuesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) holding above $83,000. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 0.1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.1%, and the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average both dropped 0.2%. Bitcoin gained 0.3% to $83,519, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume dropped 37% to $27.6 billion. Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, rose 0.8% to $2,690. XRP (XRP-USD) gained 0.4%, BNB (BNB-USD) fell 1.1%, and Solana (SOL-USD) increased 0.4%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) added 0.4%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) rose 0.1%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 0.3% in the past 24 hours to $2.86 trillion, with trading volume falling 20% to $91 billion.
