SHIB Price Analysis: Is Growing Shibarium Activity Fueling the Next Breakout?

  • SHIB remains far below record highs despite recent monthly gains.
  • Shibarium processes 1,680 daily transactions, down sharply from 2025 levels.
  • Network recovery could determine SHIB’s next breakout potential

Shiba Inu has returned to the spotlight after recent updates surrounding Shibarium. Many traders now wonder whether stronger network activity could support a larger price move. While SHIB remains far below the record highs of 2021, investor attention has shifted from social media hype toward blockchain performance. Current data suggests that infrastructure health may play a bigger role than sentiment alone. That makes Shibarium one of the most important metrics to watch right now.

Shiba Inu Faces a Critical Test as Network Activity Remains Weak

SHIB trades at $0.0000056 as of September 28, 2026. That level sits 5.31% below the previous day. The token also stands 0.23 percent lower than seven days ago. Despite recent weakness, SHIB remains 11.81% higher than a month earlier. Market capitalization currently stands at $3.295 billion. That places Shiba Inu in 37th position across the cryptocurrency market.

Circulating supply sits at roughly 589.24 trillion tokens. The bigger challenge remains the distance from previous highs. SHIB reached an all-time high of $0.00008616 on October 27, 2021. Current prices remain 93.5 percent below that peak. Such a gap highlights how much ground must be recovered before another major bull run becomes realistic.

Recent trading activity paints a mixed picture. SHIB briefly moved above $0.000006 following positive news regarding Shibarium. The token later touched a multi-week high of $0.000006254. Buyers failed to maintain momentum, however. Prices have since retreated by roughly ten percent from that level.

Can Shibarium Growth Create the Conditions for a SHIB Breakout?

Shibarium serves as the project’s layer-2 blockchain. The network processes transactions at lower costs before final settlement on Ethereum. Since launch, many supporters have viewed that ecosystem as proof of broader ambitions beyond speculation. Recent network data has raised concerns. According to reports, Shibarium currently handles around 1,680 transactions each day.

That figure looks extremely small when compared with August 21, 2025. During that period, daily activity reportedly reached 4.69 million transactions. The decline represents a drop of about 99.96 percent. Such a decrease cannot be ignored. Blockchain value often depends on active usage. A network with low activity generates fewer fees. Fewer fees mean less support for token-burning mechanisms.

Developers have already addressed a chain reorganization issue. The technical fix provided some relief after months of uncertainty. Even so, migration toward a new RPC service remains incomplete. Until that process finishes, recovery in network participation may remain limited. This situation creates the key question for any SHIB price outlook. If transaction volumes recover, market confidence could improve.
