Meta Platforms Introduces Ray-Ban Meta Audio, Launches Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 in India

11:24 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms (META) said Thursday it is introducing Ray-Ban Meta Audio and bringing Muse to its artificial intelligence glasses in the coming months. The company said Ray-Ban Meta Audio is its lightest and slimmest AI glasses yet, at 43 grams, offering music, calls, and hands-free AI for up to 12 hours on a single charge. Meta also said it has launched Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) in India, featuring a longer battery life and a customizable action button for access to Meta AI, starting at 44,300 Indian rupee ($460). A federal judge in New York has ruled that USA Today, Daily Mail, and a collective of about 5,000 publishers may each seek compensation of $900 millions, $600 millions, and $1.7 billions, respectively. The judge rejected Google's objections regarding the calculation of compensation amounts in the ruling. Google stated that the judge also dismissed some publishers' claims related to another ad purchasing tool and will defend itself in court against the remaining lawsuits.
