THORWallet Integrates Monero, Bringing Native XMR Support to the App

BeInCryptoBeInCrypto2026/10/05 09:42
Users can now access the Monero network through the THORWallet app, with support for core functionality including sending and receiving XMR. The integration goes beyond basic wallet functionality. Users can create and manage multiple Monero accounts derived from the same wallet seed, providing greater flexibility when managing their activity across the network. THORWallet also gives users the ability to configure their own Monero node. Users who prefer to interact with a specific node can configure it directly within the wallet, ensuring their Monero activity is routed through that node. For everyone else, THORWallet provides a default node for communicating with the Monero blockchain. THORWallet runs a light weight implementation: your keys, balances and transaction history are computed and stored on your device and never leave it. Cross-Chain Monero Swaps Are Coming The next major step for the integration is native cross-chain swapping. Monero support on THORChain is currently being tested and audited. Once it goes live, THORWallets Monero integration will be production ready for native XMR cross-chain swaps directly within the app. This will allow users to swap between Monero and assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and others without relying on centralized exchanges or custodial intermediaries. For example, a user will be able to swap XMR directly to BTC, or BTC to XMR, stablecoins, SOL, ZEC and more through decentralized cross-chain infrastructure while remaining in control of their assets throughout the process. With the Monero integration now underway and cross-chain swaps approaching production, THORWallet moves another step closer to its goal of becoming a one-stop shop for DeFi.

October 5th - Shares of the restaurant chain Texas Roadhouse (ticker: TXRH.O) rose 1.2% in pre-market trading to $158.01 after Evercore ISI upgraded the stock from "in line" to "outperform." The brokerage lowered its target price from $220 to $200, which still represents a 28% upside from the stock's previous closing price of $156.14. Evercore stated that the comprehensive deployment of digital kitchen systems gives the restaurant greater confidence to manage peak-time demand, which will drive further growth in its takeout business and allow the company to test new menu items after years of limited innovation. The brokerage added that Texas Roadhouse’s pricing strategy is to keep prices below the inflation rate while continuing to focus on service, value, and execution, which should help maintain strong same-store sales growth. Of the 28 brokers covering the stock, 16 have a "buy" or higher rating, while 12 have a "hold" rating; the median target price is $211, according to LSEG compiled data. As of yesterday’s close, the stock is down about 6% year-to-date. (For the convenience of non-English speakers, Reuters has automated the translation of this report into several other languages. Roche secures rights to Alector's Parkinson's therapy for up to $1.27 billions, Alector shares surge

Reuters, October 5 – U.S. biotechnology company Alector announced on Monday that Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche will pay up to 1.27 billion dollars to obtain licensing rights for its experimental Parkinson's disease therapy. Boosted by this news, Alector’s shares surged 72% in pre-market trading. Genentech, a subsidiary of Roche, will pay Alector a 100 million dollar upfront payment, with an additional payment of up to 1.17 billion dollars if the therapy meets certain developmental, regulatory, and sales milestones. Alector will also receive royalty payments. Specific details are as follows: the agreement grants Genentech exclusive global rights to develop, produce, and commercialize AL050, an experimental therapy targeting enzyme deficiency associated with Parkinson’s disease. Genentech will be responsible for the development, regulatory filings, production, and commercialization of the therapy. AL050 is an enzyme replacement therapy designed to address GCase enzyme deficiency—which leads to the buildup of certain fats and increases the risk of Parkinson’s. This deal is the latest in a series of licensing agreements Roche has reached to expand its drug development pipeline. In June, Roche and Nurix Therapeutics entered into a licensing and collaboration agreement involving a blood cancer medication, with a deal value of up to 2.3 billion dollars.
