Meteora ($MET) has extended its recent rally, with the token gaining 43.65% over 24 hours. $MET trades around $0.4479 after reaching nearly $0.4821 during the latest advance. Its seven-day gain has also reached 45.19%, highlighting a sharp change in market momentum. Trading volume stands near $221 million, while its market capitalization approaches $250 million.

$MET Rally Pushes Toward Key Resistance

$MET recently broke above its previous consolidation range on the four-hour chart. Buyers drove the token through several Fibonacci levels before the rally met resistance near $0.4821.

Significantly, $MET remains above its major exponential moving averages. The 20 EMA stands at $0.3600, while the 50 EMA sits at $0.3325. Additionally, the 100 EMA and 200 EMA remain lower at $0.3154 and $0.2861.

This alignment supports the broader bullish structure. However, the sharp price expansion leaves $MET vulnerable to profit-taking. The Bollinger Band %B reading near 1.01 also shows that price sits around the upper band.

A sustained close above $0.4821 could strengthen the breakout setup. Hence, traders may watch $0.50 and $0.52 as potential psychological targets.

Conversely, failure to clear $0.4821 could send $MET toward $0.4394. A break below that level would expose $0.4058 and $0.3823.

Open Interest Signals Growing Market Participation

Meteora’s derivatives market has experienced a notable increase in open interest during the recent rally. The metric remained between $7 million and $19 million through much of June and August.

Open interest then climbed during September before approaching $27 million. However, October delivered a much stronger expansion as $MET accelerated higher.

By October 8, open interest reached approximately $50.08 million. That increase suggests traders have added substantial positions alongside the price advance.

Moreover, simultaneous price and open interest growth often points to stronger participation in the prevailing trend. Nevertheless, elevated leverage can also increase liquidation risks during sudden reversals.

Exchange Inflows Add a Risk Factor

Spot exchange flows have also changed as $MET gained momentum. Earlier activity showed relatively balanced inflows and outflows, with occasional inflow spikes above $2 million.

Recent sessions have instead produced stronger positive netflows. On October 8, net inflows reached approximately $2.35 million while $MET traded near $0.4458.

Additionally, the chart shows a larger inflow spike approaching $10 million. Such movements indicate that more $MET tokens have recently entered exchanges.

However, rising exchange balances can create potential selling pressure if holders decide to realize gains. Therefore, sustained buying demand remains important for the rally.

Meteora Expands Its Liquidity Infrastructure

Meteora has also introduced DLMM Pro as the market absorbs its latest price move. The product expands the platform’s existing liquidity tools for Solana-based token launches.

DLMM Pro combines elements from DLMM, DAMM v2, and Dynamic Bonding Curve products. It gives liquidity providers greater control over how they deploy capital.

Additionally, token projects can customize fees and determine how their markets launch. Fees can also adjust as markets develop, giving projects more flexibility.

Technical Outlook for Meteora ($MET)

Key levels remain well-defined as $MET consolidates after its sharp breakout:

Upside levels: $0.4700–$0.4821 represent the immediate resistance zone. A decisive breakout above $0.4821 could open the path toward $0.5000 and $0.5200.

Downside levels: $0.4394 provides the first support, followed by $0.4058 and $0.3823. The $0.3587–$0.3600 zone offers deeper support near the 20 EMA.

Resistance ceiling: $0.4821 remains the critical level for confirming further bullish momentum. A sustained four-hour close above this level could signal another leg higher.

Will Meteora Go Up?

Meteora’s price prediction depends on whether buyers can defend $0.4394 while challenging the $0.4700–$0.4821 resistance zone. Strong open interest growth and rising market activity support the bullish case. However, elevated exchange inflows could introduce short-term selling pressure.

If $MET breaks above $0.4821 with stronger buying volume, the token could target $0.5000 and $0.5200. Failure to hold $0.4394 could trigger a pullback toward $0.4058 and $0.3823. For now, $MET remains in a pivotal zone, with the $0.4821 breakout level likely determining its next major move.

Delta Air Lines Lowers Profit Forecast as Fuel Cost Increase Outpaces Ticket Price Growth

Delta Air Lines lowers its annual profit forecast due to a $6 billion increase in fuel costs; sharply rising ticket prices test travelers’ willingness to pay. The company’s refinery business is expected to generate $700 million in profits to help offset the impact of fuel costs. Rajesh Kumar Singh, Reuters Chicago, October 9 – Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) lowered the midpoint of its annual profit forecast by nearly a quarter on Friday, as surging fuel costs offset the positive effects of strong travel demand and higher ticket prices. This downgrade highlights the increasingly severe challenges faced by U.S. airlines: if fuel prices remain high, will passengers be willing to accept further price hikes? Airlines have already increased ticket prices considerably this year, and analysts warn that further hikes could test travelers’ willingness to continue spending. The Atlanta-based airline expects its annual fuel spending to increase by about $6 billion compared to last year. Its third-quarter fuel expenses jumped 62% year-on-year to $4.1 billion, more than $500 million higher than July’s expectations. When asked about the reasons for the revised forecast, Delta CFO Erik Snell told reporters, “It’s entirely a fuel issue,” noting that crude oil and refined jet fuel prices have both increased since the summer. Delta now expects adjusted annual earnings per share of $5.10–$5.60, down from its July forecast of $6.50–$7.50. According to data from London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), the new median of $5.35 is below analysts’ average forecast of $5.46. The company expects an adjusted pre-tax profit of $4.5 billion in 2026. According to LSEG, third-quarter adjusted earnings per share were $1.72, slightly below the average analyst forecast of $1.76. Its adjusted operating margin dropped from 11.1% to 9.4%. Delta is the first major U.S. airline to report third-quarter earnings; its competitors United Airlines (UAL.O), American Airlines (AAL.O), and Southwest Airlines (LUV.N) will release their results later this month. Ticket Price Increases According to the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics, in the first eight months of 2026, U.S. airlines spent $42.9 billion on fuel for scheduled flights, nearly $13.2 billion more than in the previous year, despite a slight decrease in fuel consumption. Strong demand and limited seat growth have helped airlines pass higher fuel costs onto passengers. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Consumer Price Index, over the five months ending in August, average U.S. airfares increased about 25% year-on-year. With fuel prices remaining high and industry capacity growth set to further accelerate in the fourth quarter, analysts are closely watching whether airlines including Delta can raise ticket prices further without suppressing travel demand. Deutsche Bank analysts expect the industry’s proportion of fuel costs recouped through revenue to decline in the fourth quarter, with full recovery not expected until early 2027. Delta says demand remains strong. Snell noted that with fourth-quarter bookings already near 60%, the company expects revenue to increase by around 20% year-on-year. According to LSEG, Delta forecasts fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $1.15–$1.65, with the median $1.40 roughly in line with analysts’ average expectation of $1.39. Refinery Advantage Delta holds an advantage over other major U.S. airlines: it owns a refinery near Philadelphia, which Snell expects will generate $700 million in profits this year. “We own a refinery, which gives us a hedge—part hedge—on fuel prices that no other airline has,” he said. Delta acquired the Monroe refinery in 2012, which processes crude oil into jet fuel and other products. While Delta must still pay market prices for fuel consumed by its airline operations, refinery profits remain within the company. When the price spread between crude oil and refined products widens, this helps offset fuel cost pressures for airlines sourcing externally. However, this protection depends on refinery margins; when margins fall, the refinery may also incur losses. Nevertheless, the refinery can only partially ease the impact of rising fuel prices. Even with an expected refinery benefit of 40 cents per gallon, Delta forecasts its fuel cost to rise from $3.61 per gallon in the third quarter to $4.25 per gallon in the fourth quarter. Snell said fuel costs are expected to remain high for some time. “Ultimately, fuel prices will come down. As to when, we’re not sure,” he said.
