The XRP Ledger’s new Batch feature went live on October 9, giving users a way to group as many as eight transactions into a single operation. The XLS-56 amendment lets transactions involving different accounts run together, so a multi-step payment or token swap can be handled as one coordinated process.
Each batch follows an all-or-nothing rule. If one transaction fails, the entire batch is reversed, preventing a deal from being only partly completed.
An earlier attempt to activate Batch on the mainnet failed. The October 9 activation brings the feature to the live XRP Ledger network.
Separately, RippleX has put LendingProtocolV1_1 up for validator voting. The amendment proposes fixed-term vaults and revised interest calculations, building on XLS-65 and XLS-66, which established the groundwork for single-asset vaults and fixed-term lending.
XRP traded near $1.38, gaining more than 4% over 24 hours while remaining down more than 6% for the week, according to CoinMarketCap.
