Chip design software leader Synopsys seeks collaboration with Chinese large model laboratories
According to ChainCatcher, Nikkei Asia reported that leading chip design software company Synopsys is seeking to cooperate with Chinese large language model developers. The company plans to use the AI versions of its tools to help Chinese businesses develop chips more rapidly, and stated it will carry out relevant work within the scope of tightened AI and semiconductor export controls set by Washington.
The report stated that Synopsys anticipates revenue of $11.15 billion for fiscal year 2027. Its collaborations with OpenAI and Amazon are driving its artificial intelligence business. Synopsys is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, and is a global leader in chip design software supply.
