Evernorth CEO Has An Announcement for XRP Army
Finance moves slowly, and the infrastructure underneath it can be even slower. Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla shared an open letter to emphasize that this is about to change. His company just took a significant step toward proving it.
Evernorth announced the completion of its business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II on October 9. Trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN is expected to begin Monday, October 12.
What Evernorth Does
Evernorth is a digital asset treasury company built around XRP. It holds approximately 473 million XRP tokens on its balance sheet. The company raised over $1 billion through its business combination and related private placements. It operates as a publicly listed vehicle, giving institutional investors regulated access to the XRP economy.
Birla describes the company’s mission as active participation rather than passive observation. Evernorth intends to “put our capital to work on the XRP Ledger, supporting liquidity, and working alongside the builders creating the tools institutions will need.”
The Case Birla Makes
Birla’s open letter laid out his five-year outlook for financial infrastructure. He argues that two barriers have historically blocked blockchain from entering mainstream finance. The first is technical infrastructure. The second is legal clarity. He believes both are now being resolved.
On the regulatory front, Birla notes that “in 2025, the U.S. passed its first federal law for payment stablecoins.” He expects rules for the rest of the market to follow. On the infrastructure side, he points to the speed advantage blockchains hold over legacy systems. The traditional settlement infrastructure, he writes, has been “moving at the speed of 1973.”
Birla’s broader thesis centers on tokenization. He argues that assets including stocks, bonds, real estate shares, and office tower stakes can become programmable digital objects. Those assets can move instantly, pay their own interest, and execute against conditions written into the asset itself.
Why This Matters for XRP
XRP sits at the center of Evernorth’s strategy. The XRP Ledger is the infrastructure the company is building on. Evernorth’s public listing creates a regulated, exchange-traded vehicle for institutional exposure to that ecosystem.
Birla sees Evernorth as a participant in building this system, not a commentator on it. The company plans to support liquidity on the XRP Ledger directly, which creates ongoing utility demand for the token itself. Evernorth expects to ring the Nasdaq closing bell on October 14, and trading under XRPN begins October 12.
Birla’s letter closes with a direct forecast. His answer to how much financial activity will move onto blockchains is “more than most people in finance expect, and sooner.”
